Future Continuous Tense

Future Continuous Tense:

I. Future Continuous Tense is used to denote an action which will be in progress at a particular time in future.

Examples:

  • Tomorrow at this time I will be enjoying at the barbeque.
  • I will be sitting in the examintaion hall from 9 am to 11 am tomorrow.
  •       In these sentences, two actions enjoying and sitting will be in progress at a particular time in future. So, Future Continuous Tense is correctly used.

    II. Future Continuous is also used to indicate an action which is expected or planned to happen in future.

    Examples:

  • My sister will be coming home soon.
  • I will be meeting Raj next month.
  •       Both the actions coming and meeting are planned and expected to happen in future.
